Art Direction, Film, Social Protest

A wedding chant turned into a call for change. And what once sounded like a blessing became a warning.

Developed in Lebanon for NGO Kafa, this campaign addressed the lack of civil protection for women in a country divided by 18 religious courts. We reworked the famous wedding chant Eweeha and turned it into three films that sang the reality many women face instead of the future they are promised. The idea also moved into the streets, becoming a massive protest and helping push the issue into parliament.
